Wilch Discusses Climate Change in Battle Creek Enquirer
Professor Thom Wilch, chair of the Albion College Department of Geological Sciences, was featured in an October 4 Battle Creek Enquirer Connections article by Chuck Carlson. "We are all participating in the greatest scientific experiment of all time," Wilch says in the piece. "The greenhouse effect is warming up the earth. We’ve turned up the CO2 ... and we’re seeing what happens.”

Shenstone, Beyer, Chytilo Embark on 'Explorations in Clay'
Albion College alumni Ken Shenstone, ’84, and Anne Beyer, ’10, and ceramics professor Lynne Chytilo demonstrate three approaches to one medium with "Finding a Way In: Explorations in Clay," currently on exhibit in the Bobbitt Visual Arts Center's Munro Gallery. Photography by visiting assistant professor Ashley Feagin is also on exhibit in Bobbitt's Dickinson Gallery. Both shows run through October 10.
Restored President's Home Renews Historic Link to Community
Albion College's summer-long renovation of “501,” the President’s Home at 501 East Michigan Avenue, yielded a glorious historic restoration and a 21st-century asset, all under one roof. From tiny details to major infrastructure, the house was updated to address values held by the College and its new president, Mauri Ditzler.
Lauren Daniels, '16, Designs New Art for President's Home
A brand-new piece of student art has become an instant historic detail of the Albion College President's Home at 501 East Michigan Avenue. Designed by Lauren Daniels, '16, and created by Kalamazoo-based stained glass artist Lee Klade, two transom windows have been mounted in an interior archway on the second-floor landing of the home, which was fully restored this summer.
