Students and faculty recently traveled to the American Chemical Society national meeting and the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology annual meeting to present the results of their research and attend a variety of presentations highlighting research advances in chemistry and biochemistry.

Professors Andrew French, Vanessa McCaffrey, Kevin Metz, and Cliff Harris along with 13 chemistry/biochemistry majors attended the American Chemical Society Meeting in New Orleans. Students presented the results of their research projects in the undergraduate poster session. Additionally, Dr. McCaffrey presented a seminar entitled "Redox behaviour of substituted dioxovanadium(V) salicylaldehyde semicarbazone complexes" in the Inorganic Division. This is the 22nd consecutive year that students and faculty from the Chemistry Department have attended and presented at the spring national ACS meeting!

Professor Christopher Rohlman and students Hannah Allgaier and Grace Dougherty attended the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Meeting in Boston in April 2013. Both Hannah and Grace presented posters.
