American Junior Year in Heidelberg, Heidelberg, Germany

Subjects: Full curriculum

Prerequisites: 3.0 GPA; junior-level standing; at least 2 years of college level German or equivalent; demonstrated maturity

Length: Semester or Academic Year

Credit: 4 Albion units (16 semester hours credit) for the Summer Semester. 3.75 Albion units (15 hours credit) for the shortened winter semester.

Faculty: Heidelberg University faculty

Housing: With German students in a University or private dormitory. Home stays are encouraged during semester breaks.

Costs not covered by Albion Varies, depending on the semester of study. Per spring semester: room & board; books, supplies, laundry, etc.; group flight from an East Coast terminal.

Faculty Advisor: Perry Myers, Foreign Language Department.

Comments: Many Junior Year students take a major portion of their courses at the excellent Institute for German as a Foreign Language. An attempt is made to arrange internships with German companies for qualified full-year students, especially economics and business majors.
