Subjects: Students may select from over 100 courses offered by eleven Faculties (schools). Some popular fields of study include: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies, Australian Studies, Botany, Business/Management, Communications, Engineering, English, Marine Science,Psychology, Studies in Religion, Zoology.

Prerequisites: Minimum 3.0 GPA, junior-level standing and demonstrated maturity.

Length: Southern hemisphere semester, Academic Year.

Credit: For full load of classes, students may earn up to 4.0 units, depending on coursework chosen.

Housing: Single-room accommodation in a co-ed hall of residence. Because on-campus housing is very limited, students should apply early.

Comments: The city of Brisbane is the capital city of Queensland and is only an hour's drive from the famous Gold Coast. It is a clean, safe city with a warm, sub-tropical climate. The University of Queensland has an enrollment of 37,000 students, of those 6300 are overseas students. A student visa is required. The program will send information about obtaining a visa. Also, AustraLearn arranges airfare for the group and takes students on an orientation trip before the beginning of each semester.
