Subjects: Art and Culture with intensive French and Wolof study through homestays, lectures and field visits.
Prerequisites: Three recent semesters of college level French or equivalent and the ability to follow coursework in French, as assessed by SIT.
Length: Fall or Spring semester
Credit: 4.0 Albion units per semester, depending on course work chosen.
Housing: Host families and rural visits.
Faculty: Souleye Diallo, Academic Director
Cost: Albion College tuition and fees and room and board. This includes group excursions, field trips and insurance.

Comments: Experience firsthand the enormous contribution to African arts and culture made by Senegal, a nation that has inspired three centuries of poets, novelists, and artists. Led to independence by internationally acclaimed poet and philosopher Leopold Senghor, this West African nation has long emphasized the role of art and culture in society.
