CIC NetVUE Grant to Support Student Career Exploration
Thanks to a recent NetVUE grant from the Council of Independent Colleges, students at Albion College will now have even more support and opportunities to explore their values and seek meaningful life work. Albion is a founding member of the Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education (NetVUE) and has received a program development grant of $50,000, one of only 36 grants awarded this year.
Ingalls, '14, Connects Leadership Skills, Physical Activity
Jalyn Ingalls created an individualized major at Albion College to merge her interests in management and kinesiology. Now in her senior year, the Ellsworth, Mich., native is bringing the academic disciplines together as the research for her thesis examines whether she can develop leaders with the combination of small group training and practical experience. “The question is what it’s going to take to get kids to be physically active,” Ingalls said.

We will also briefly cover new trends using technology to develop resumes and portfolios.
Although you are no longer at Albion College, your alma mater continues to service you throughout your professional life. The Albion College Career and Internship Center is available to assist alumni with their career needs.

Education Think Tank Selects Baker
Vicki Baker, associate professor of economics and management, was recently chosen to participate in the Elon University Center for Engaged Learning Seminar on Excellence in Mentoring Undergraduate Research. Baker was chosen from more than 70 applicants for the honor.
