Senior Art Show ANNUAL EXHIBIT SHOWCASES MAJORS' BEST WORK Monday, March 31, 2003 Reported by Heather Horobik, ’06 ALBION, Mich. – The work of nine artists is on display at the annual Senior Art Majors Exhibition at Albion College’s art department. The show opens on Saturday, March 29, and runs through Thursday, May 1. The exhibition includes an assortment of pieces created by nine female art majors: Megan Broom, Kimberly Cragnolin, Sarah Ellis, Erin Mesecar, Molly Oesterle, Kimberly Shannon, Ashley Snowden, Adrienne Trager, Amy Vogtmann. The types of artistic work on display include oil paintings, charcoal drawings, statues, and ceramic pieces. Each artwork was individually judged and selected by two Albion College art professors. One of the artists, Megan Broom explains, “The exhibition is special this year because it is all women.” Broom also describes the effort that went into this event, “The show is a result of many hours of hard work, time, and devotion. The exhibition is an eclectic group of pieces that are the culmination of each students’ years at Albion College”. The exhibition is free and open to the public from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Closed Sunday, holidays and during all College breaks.
