Art Show Ready at Albion College MAY GRADS EXHIBIT THEIR COLLEGE CAREER HIGHLIGHTS Posted Tuesday, March 19, 2002 ALBION, Mich. -- Albion College Art Department seniors display the best works from their college careers during the College’s annual Senior Art Show. Held in the Bobbitt Visual Arts Gallery, this year’s show will run from Saturday, March 23 through April 25. A reception for the artists will be held Sunday, March 24, from 2-4 p.m. The works in the show were submitted to
be a juried committee of the College’s art faculty before being
admitted to the show. Pieces chosen for exhibition showcase
diverse art forms, including drawings, prints, ceramics, sculptures,
photographs and paintings. The featured seniors are: Sabrina
Friedline of Howell; Steve Nyktas, Cincinnati; Nick Oleszczuk, Muskegon;
Launda Wheatley, Albion; Johanna Gorham, Southfield; Devon Wilkop, Troy;
Chris Weiermiller, Grand Blanc; Kelli Konkle, Dexter; Joe Maly,
Kentwood; and Jillian Longheier of Massillon, Ohio. “The faculty and staff are so wonderful and encouraging,” says Friedline. “There is a high level of camaraderie and friendship among all the students. That’s one reason why the senior show is so exciting.” The exhibition is
free and open to the public from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and 6:30-9 p.m.
Monday-Thursday; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday; and 2
