Archives Week Listens To Oral History Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002 ALBION, Mich. – A fascinating look at Albion College history – through listening – is the focus of the Albion College Library’s Archives Week, with events nightly from Sept. 30 through Oct. 4. The Library’s Wendell Will Room is the setting for a series of “Fireside Chats,” with some of the College’s most venerated senior emeriti, alumni and the Bayview Association archivist. Monday, Sept. 30: 4:30 p.m.: The History of the Athletics Department, including the Beginnings of Women’s Athletics, with faculty emeriti Betty Beese and Char Duff, and former coach Morley Fraser. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 6:30 p.m.: Stories and Memories of Bayview Summer College, with Bayview Association Archivist John Weeks and others Wednesday, Oct. 2, 4:30 p.m.: Challenges Faced by Female Faculty at Albion College, with emeriti faculty Robina Quale-Leach and others.
Thursday, Oct. 3, 6:30 p.m., Home Sweet Albion, Alumni Living in Albion Today. With alumni Tom, ’56, and Pat Brown, ’53, and others. Friday, Oct. 4, 4:30 p.m.: History of the Mathematics & Sciences at Albion, with emeriti professors Ewell “Doc” Stowell, Ken Ballou and Larry Taylor.
