The Gertrude Hawkins Women Missionary Society of Lewis Chapel AME Church is sponsoring an outreach program to support victims of Hurricane Katrina.

This is a community-wide outreach. We are asking members of the community to be supportive by providing toiletry items (deodorant, soap, toothpaste, etc.), clothes and gift cards/phone cards.

Items can be dropped off at Lewis Chapel AME Church beginning Tuesday, Sept. 6, through Sunday, Sept. 11. Your support and thoughtfulness to the victims of Hurricane Katrina are greatly needed.

If donating clothing items, please size, bundle and list for girl, boy, adult or teen. This will eliminate confusion when distributing these items.

If donating cards, WalMart, Shell Oil, Dollar Store, BP Gas and Target are suggested.

Schedule of drop off times at Lewis Chapel AME Church:

Tuesday – Saturday – Mornings – 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Evenings – 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Sunday – 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 pm.
