Albion Rated #7 Wired College in the Nation
ONLY MICHIGAN CAMPUS AMONG TOP 50

Posted Wednesday, April 19, 2000

ALBION, Mich. –Improving upon last year's ranking as Michigan's #1 Wired Liberal Arts College, Albion College is recognized in the May issue of Yahoo! Internet Life magazine, Top Wired Colleges and Universities of 2000, as the number-one wired college in the state and number-seven nationally.

Yahoo's! issue hit newsstands April 18 and separated the Top 100 Colleges from the Top 100 Universities. Albion College's number-seven national ranking is the only Michigan campus in the Top 50 of either category.

Helping propel Albion to this lofty status is its commitment to serving students with; an internet port for every student in his/her residence, online registration and class schedules, a high ratio of computers per student, a large percentage of new computers on campus, the first vice president of information technology on a Michigan liberal arts campus, and much more.
