in the Fall

ALBION,
Mich. – The Dean Aquatic Center at Albion College will be closed
this summer as it undergoes a variety of renovations in preparation for
a fall reopening.
Improvements to the pool include replacement of air handling ducts and
systems and the removal of old drywall, as well as standard maintenance
to the pool, according to Keith Havens, swimming and diving coach and
the director of the aquatic center.
"We will be draining the pool and acid-cleaning it," said
Havens. "Then the pool will be regrouted, and pool tiles will
be repaired. We are prepared to be closed throughout the summer
and reopen for fall semester."
The painting of all pool walls is planned, and Havens said he is hopeful
that the lockers also will be repainted.
