Posted Monday, September 28, 1998

ALBION, Mich. The Albion College Health Services Center is offering a candid look at the inner-workings of the cigarette industry and the facts behind the addictive properties of nicotine, as presented by Dr. Victor DeNoble, a former research scientist at Philip Morris, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of tobacco products, this afternoon in Norris Hall, Room 101 at 4 p.m.

Dr. DeNoble, a key witness in the government’s ongoing investigation against the tobacco companies, will be discussing the highly addictive nature of nicotine and the newest treatments for smokers who want to quit.

Dr. DeNoble will take the audience into the context of the secret laboratory he ran at Philip Morris using 15-year old slides that reveal the true nature of nicotine and its effects on the human body.

This appearance by Dr. DeNoble is open to the public and attendance is free-of-charge. Residents of southern lower Michigan and the greater Albion community are invited and encouraged to attend the hour-long presentation.
