Hate, Tolerance, Love are Workshop Theatre
Posted Monday, November 21, 2005

ALBION, Mich. — The interplay of hate, tolerance and love are the focus of Albion College Workshop Theatre presentation “Stop Kiss,” directed by Concord senior Chelsea Sadler. The play runs December 1 through 3 at 8 p.m. each night in the Herrick Center Black Box Theatre, located in the Dow Center complex at the corner of Hannah and Erie Streets in Albion.

“Stop Kiss” explores the relationship of two women, each falling love with another woman for the first time. It’s partly a romance, but Sadler stressed that the play “is about tolerance which is an issue everywhere, The characters could be replaced by any other [oppressed groups] and it would be just as relevant.”

“This play is a culmination of everything I’ve been studying in my tenure at Albion,” Sadler concluded.

Workshop Theatre is free and open to the public, although this show is not recommended for children. Seating is open, but limited, so audience members are encouraged to arrive early. For further information please contact the Albion College Theatre Department, 517-629-0344.
