ALBION, Mich. – “Pie-A-Brit,” Kappa Kappa Psi (KKP) fraternity’s annual spring fundraiser, offers the community a chance to get a little crazy and support a good cause all at once. Members of Albion College faculty and staff are the volunteer victims for the pie-throwing event, which takes place Tuesday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the College’s Kellogg Center, on Hannah Street.

Albion College president Peter T. Mitchell, along with other “surprise” guests will be on the block for anyone wishing to throw a pie. “This fundraising is a lot of fun, as well as supportive of a great cause.” said Ida sophomore Delle Cameron, publicity chair for KKP. “it would be great if everyone could come support Kappa Kappa Psi.”

Kappa Kappa Psi is Albion College’s marching and concert band fraternity, and provides support for numerous marching, concert and jazz band events and concerts. KKP frequests hosts receptions for concerts, was a major sponsor of the recent marching band uniform purchases, and is recognized as one of the top chapters in its district. “Kappa Kappa Psi makes the band experience a little more special,” says director of bands Sam McIlhagga.

The cost to throw one pie is only $1, or five pies for $3. For more information, contact Cameron at 734/735-7003 or dsc10@albion.edu.
