Kappa Delta Sorority to Curate
All-Day Music Fest
Monday, March 27, 2006 Reported by Ben Evans, ’08 ALBION, Mich. – The Sigma Pi chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority will host its annual Shamrock Week this year with an added twist. The ShamROCK Music Fest, to be held Saturday, April 1 at Albion College’s Kresge Gymnasium, features 16 bands from the greater Midwest, including Avant Garde, Piston Hurricane, and Albion’s own Ben Landry. With styles ranging across the board, ShamROCK promises to display a wide diversity of independent local talent. In addition to the live music, the festival will feature a raffle with prizes including concert tickets, gift certificates, and movie/dinner packages. Refreshments will also be available at nominal cost. All proceeds from ShamROCK will go to benefit Prevent Child Abuse America, the philanthropy of Kappa Delta. Ticket prices are $10.00 for the entire day or $15.00 with t-shirt included. That amounts to less than 94 cents per band, with a shirt included. There are few concert deals that can best that kind of value. To purchase tickets or more information, contact any Kappa Delta or event coordinator Rachel Singer at RBS10@albion.edu. .
