Comic Thriller ‘Communicating Doors’ Closes Albion College Theatre Season
Monday, April 17, 2006

Reported by Jake Weber

ALBION, Mich. – A time-traveling comic murder mystery brings a lively close to the Albion College Theatre Department’s 2006-07 season. “Communicating Doors” by British “master of farce” Alan Ayckbourn runs Wednesday, April 19 through Saturday, April 22, at 8 p.m. each evening in the Herrick Auditorium.

“Communicating Doors” is the comic story of an overly softhearted dominatrix who leaves a hotel room through what she thinks is the "communicating door” to an adjacent room. Instead, she finds herself in the room she just left – 20 years earlier and smack in the middle of a murder plot.

“It’ll be a very entertaining evening,” says director Mark Hoffland, a member of the College’s theater faculty, “We have three of our seniors -- Karen Green, Jon Minjoe and Chelsea Sadler – who have all done great comic work, and now have to take their final curtain call at Albion.

Tickets are $3 for the general public, available at the door, but reservations are encouraged. For further information please contact the Albion College Theatre and Dance Department, 517-629-0344.
