MAD TV Comedian Delivers Laughs
February 8, 2006

“I laughed so much my face hurts,” one audience member said upon leaving Pablo Francisco’s comedy show held last Tuesday night in Goodrich Chapel. She was not alone as a capacity crowd of over 1,000 watched the nationally-renowned comedian deliver his unique perspective on relationships, music and movies. Interspersed throughout the hour long performance were also numerous impersonations of film stars, all highlighted by the booming theatrical preview voice-over that is one of Francisco’s signature on-stage personas.

“Waiting for a front row seat was definitely worth it,” says senior Lisa Hall (front row, in black).  “I laughed every minute he was on stage and my cheeks hurt by the end of the night! It was a great show!”

"It was really nice giving the campus a chance to sit back and laugh for a night," said Allison Webster, sophomore and Union Board member. "I needed a laugh in the middle of the week and Pablo and Jasper delivered that!" added senior Kate Crary. "I'm very proud of all the hard work that Union Board put into selecting a comeidan and then putting together the show was amazing", said Nic Clements, senior who is a member of Union Board the show’s student organization sponsor.

Despite his busy national touring schedule, Francisco continues to make regular guest appearances all over television, including on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," Fox's "The Family Guy," Showtime's "Full Frontal Comedy," Comedy Central's "Short Attention Span Theater" and "Make Me Laugh. Francisco was a cast member on Fox's "Mad TV" and has performed at the "Montreal Comedy Festival." Pablo was nominated Comedian Of The Year by the American Comedy Awards and starred in national commercials for Coke and City Bank with Elton John.
