Habitat for Humanity's May Blitz Build

May 16, 2004

The spring semester officially ended two weeks ago, but members of Albion College's Habitat for Humanity are still in town, working on the group's fifth Albion build.  The project, located at 614 South Dalrymple in Albion (across from Johnson Child Care and Development Center) was slowed by rain, but workers are making up for lost time this week.

Albion College president Peter T. Mitchell has given "dress code amnesty" to all staff members who are participating with the build; they can show up for work in jeans if they give some time to the build.  Community residents, as well as civic organizations, are also working on the build.

Volunteers at all skill levels are welcome to participate.  For more information, go to the building site or contact ACHH member Stacy Eads at 313/363-5588, or Todd Hegener at 248/722-2827
