Albion Alumnus Finally Finishes the '54 Season
October 23, 2004

Retired Marshall physician Philip Glotfelty, ’55, finished an Albion College cross country run Friday (Oct. 22) that was interrupted 50 years ago during his senior year. A varsity cross country team member at the time, Glotfelty was completing a practice run in October 1954 when he was struck by a passing car. The injuries he sustained were so severe they ended his season that year. On Friday, Oct. 22, he finally had a chance to complete his run along with some of his teammates from the 1954 squad at a cross country team reunion during Albion College’s Homecoming 2004.
