Kevin F. Asher, '88

Kevin is a senior partner based in Ernst & Young LLP’s San Jose, CA office. He serves as the global coordinating partner for some of the firm’s most significant clients, and also leads Ernst & Young LLP’s Assurance practice in the Silicon Valley. Kevin focuses on the technology industry, advising global clients on accounting and reporting matters related to new business models, acquisitions, restructurings, debt and equity offerings, finance captives, leasing, international tax matters related to offshore earnings, complex tax structures as well as dealings with the Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulators.
In 2009, Kevin relocated to the Silicon Valley from Detroit, where he served as the firm’s regional assurance leader. During his 24 years of experience in Detroit, Kevin was actively involved in working with clients to address leading business matters facing the automotive industry including advising on numerous international and domestic acquisitions, divestitures, debt and equity offerings and the most significant restructurings within the industry. He was also a member of the leadership team forming the Detroit-based EY Global Automotive Center.
Kevin received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Management from Albion College in 1986. He has been involved in a number of Albion College organizations and programs including Sigma Nu, Briton Career Connections and the Gerstacker Institute Visiting Committee. In addition, he is an active participant in his community, serving on the board of the Lincoln Child Center based in Oakland, CA. The Lincoln Child Center provides mental health care services to the most at-risk and emotionally troubled children and families in the Bay Area.
Kevin and his wife, Essie, have three children: twin daughters, Erin and Morgan, and son, Ross. They reside in Los Gatos, CA.
Diane S. Carr, '81

Diane Carr graduated from Albion College in 1981, with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Upon graduation, she continued her education, earning her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Wayne State University in 1984 and joined the law firm Foster, Swift, Collins & Coey in Lansing, Michigan. From 1989-1997 Diane Carr held numerous leadership positions at Ingham Regional Medical Center including General Counsel and Corporate Director of Legal Services. Mrs. Carr returned to the private practice of law in 1998 as a partner at Brookover,Carr & Schaberg, P.C. in E. Lansing, Michigan. In 2010, she retired from Brookover, Carr & Schaberg, P.C and the practice of law.
While at Albion College, Mrs. Carr received the Webster Award for her academic record and was involved in many organizations including: Lincoln Law Club, History Honorary Society, and Kappa Delta Sorority. At Wayne State University, Mrs. Carr was a member of the American Bar Association, Student Division and was honored in Who's Who Among American Law Students.
An active supporter of the College, Diane Carr has volunteered to assist with activities in the Lansing area. She has served on the Visiting Committee for the Gerald R. Ford Institute for Public Policy and Service. Mrs. Carr has been a trustee of the College since 2004. She currently chairs the Committee on Trusteeship. Diane and husband, James F. Carr, Jr., '81, have been philanthropic toward the college. In addition to contributions to the annual fund, they have established the Diane and James F. Carr, Jr., Endowed Scholarship, funded a room in the Science Complex, and established the David Egnatuk Endowed Scholarship for Men's Track.
When residing in Lansing, Michigan, Mrs. Carr was involved in her community serving as a member of the Junior League of Lansing, a member of the board of the Hospice of Lansing, nc., and a member of the Community Board for Sparrow Health Care System.
Mrs. Carr now lives in Petosky, Michigan with her husband.

Faith Fowler, '81
Professional Association: Senior Pastor of Cass Community Methodist Church, Executive Director of Cass Community Social Services.
Education: Degree, Albion College, Phi Beta Kappa, 1981. Master of Divinity from the Boston University School of Theology. Master of Public Administration from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
Rev. Faith Fowler graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Albion College in 1981. She received a Master of Divinity degree from the Boston University School of Theology and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
Rev. Fowler has served as the Senior Pastor of Cass Community United Methodist Church and currently serves as Executive Director of Cass Community Social Services (CCSS) since 1994. As chief executive for CCSS, Fowler oversees fiscal, administrative and program development for a human service agency that works with the hungry, homeless, seniors, unemployed, at-risk youth, mentally ill, developmentally disabled, persons with HIV/AIDS and Alzheimer's, and operates two free medical clinics. In addition to her church involvement, Rev. Fowler serves as an adjunct professor for the University of Michigan - Dearborn.
Beyond her work at CCSS, Rev. Fowler has served as a board member for the Cass Corridor Neighborhood Development Corporation, advisory board member of the Detroit Area Agency on Aging, the General Board of Church and Society in Washington, D.C., and is the Chair of Detroit's Brownfield Redevelopment Authority Community Advisory Committee.
Her Albion College involvement included: PBK, Band, Pleiad, Pi Beta Phi, Recipient of Project 250, and DAA. She currently serves on the Detroit Chapter Committee.
Rev. Fowler has received numerous professional accolades including a Detroit Free Press Green Leader Award in 2010.
Her interests include reading, running, the environment and travel. Fowler has finished the Boston Marathon four times and has traveled extensively. Rev. Fowler currently lives in Detroit, Michigan.
Michael J. Harrington, '85
Professional Association: Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Global Operations for Eli Lilly & Company.
Education: Degree, Albion College, 1985. Doctor of Jurisprudence, Columbia University School of Law.
In 1991, Mr. Harrington joined Lilly and currently serves as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, Global Pharmaceutical Operations. He is responsible for five global business units: Oncology, Emerging Markets, Animal Health, Bio-Medicines and Diabetes.
In addition to working from Lilly’s headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana, Mr. Harrington has also lived and worked in New Zealand and Singapore. He serves on a number of boards including: Board and Executive Committee for Lawyers for Civil Justice and the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Harrington is also a board member of the Indiana Repertory Theatre.
His Albion College involvement includes: Delta Tau Delta, PBK, Albion Fellow, Admission Volunteers and National Volunteer Network.
Mr. Harrington and his wife, Judy, live in Zionsville, Indiana with their children David, Ellen and Jacob.
