With nearly 1,200 digs in her first two collegiate volleyball seasons, Monica Shuk, '19, has become one of the top defensive players in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association. The Milford, Mich., native is just as focused on developing her professional skills in accounting, and she recently talked about her summer internship in the Bingham Farms office of Jacobs, a Fortune 500 engineering and technology firm.

Freep's McCabe on Albion Gift: 'It Felt Like Home to Us'

Mick McCabe, who spent 46 years carving out a special niche at the Detroit Free Press, didn’t attend Albion College. But his respect and love for the school runs deep nonetheless thanks to the fact that two of his kids graduated from Albion. And that's why, at his retirement roast in May, McCabe earmarked the $3,500 in proceeds to Albion's journalism program. "I really liked everything about Albion," he said.
