Job Description:

Albion College invites applications for the position of Instructional Technologist; responsible for the primary instructional technology support and management of Albion's current learning management system (LMS), MOODLE. This includes course web design and creation, course web archiving, LMS maintenance, and user training. The Instructional Technologist will also be primary in the training development and delivery of other various web based applications, software, and hardware technologies. This technology includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Office products, WebEx, web cams, and their delivery to various hardware platforms. In addition, the Instructional Technologist will assist with the training and support of basic audio visual functions in the technology enhanced classrooms and media carts on campus.


  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably MOODLE.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Familiarity with WordPress or other blogging platform.
  • Experience working in both Macintosh and PC based environments preferred.
  • Working knowledge of student response technologies.
  • Video conferencing solutions and set up.
  • Some audio visual and video experience is desired.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and coordinate multiple projects.
  • Ability to effectively work with a diverse student body, faculty and staff, in support of the liberal arts philosophy and education.
  • The successful candidate must also be a quick study, demonstrate initiative, actively explore new technologies, and work independently as well as effectively collaborate with the IT team.
