Job Description:

Albion College is seeking application for a Programmer Analyst. The Programmer Analyst will deliver high quality programming and customized reports for College Departments from the Oracle-based Ellucian Banner system and/or Slate Admission system to streamline processes, provide program enhancing information to customers, maintain code for synchronization of data between campus systems and third party vendors, and improve internal efficiency. Additionally, the Programmer Analyst will work individually and with project teams to evaluate, recommend, and implement software solutions to support project requirements, assist College Departments with testing upgrades, and ensuring data and system integrity.

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred. Computer Science or IT-related major, minor, or coursework required. Comparable work experience may be considered in place of education.
  • Experience with Ellucian's Banner
  • Oracle, SQL Server, or other relational database is required
  • A minimum of 2 years programming experience with SQL, XSLT and HTML is strongly encouraged.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies/programming languages.
  • Familiarity with Admission CRM products like Slate, Hobson's and/or Salesforce preferred.
  • The ability to clearly instruct others on the use of technology in language they will understand.
  • The ability to function well under pressure, to organize and prioritize many tasks, and to thrive in a dynamic, customer service driven organization.
